Match Report

A hastily arranged friendly with Pontymister Athletic gave some of our members a much needed run out. Rink 1 with Jamie Worlock, Julia Williams, Mike Perkins and Dennis Lewis had a solid game leading 6-4 after five ends, 13-7 after ten, 22-8 after fifteen and finished 30-8 victors. Rink 2 with Trudy Silcox, Neville Mistry, Steve Jones and Karl Poynter also had a good day leading 7-2 after five, 15-4 after ten, 23-6 after fifteen and ended with a 25-11 victory. Rink 3 with Andrew Snell, Robert Plummer, Amanda Penny who was replaced by Kate Sturdy and Tony Seaville had a much tougher game  being 2-3 down after five, 7-11 after ten, 8-17 after fifteen and ended 11-20 down.

Overall another satisfying win by 22 shots. Next Saturday we have all three teams in action so all members are requested to make themselves available if they can.
