Match Report

As expected the rematch with Merthyr West End was equally competitive. Rink3 with Elaine, Nev, Sally and Irene were 3-5 down at five and 4-12 down at ten but finished strongly to win 18-15. Rink4 with Trudie, Chris, Peggy and Anne were 4-5 down at five, 6-15 down at ten and ended 12-20 down. Rink5 with Sandra, Jamie, Amanda and Kate were 3-6 down at five, then led 13-6 at ten finishing 17-13 up. 
overall a good effort with the match ending 47-48 to Merthyr, everything was on the last bowl with the match score 47-47 and Beaufort holding five shots, Helen Rhian Jones drew shot to win the match for Merthyr, certainly a nail biter.
