Our ladies returned to action looking for their first win and knew it would be another tough contest with Guest Memorial from Merthyr.

Rink 3 with Sandra Jones, Brian Jarman, Sam Vale and Cheryl Prosser started slowly being 3-5 down after five but dominated the second five ends to lead 12-5 after ten, they pushed on to lead 17-8 after fifteen ends finishing 19-9 victors. Rink 4 with Trudie Silcox, David Wilmot, Lisa Wilmot and Peggy Thomas had a very slow start going 2-12 down after five ends, they stabilised the ship to be 8-18 after ten but won the third quarter to peel at 19-19 after fifteen ends and completed the comeback to record a 24-20 victory. Rink 5 with Anne Hughes, Amanda Penny, Julia Williams and Joyce Congreve had a ding Dong battle leading 4-3 after five ends they had a tough time in the second quarter to go 4-11 down after ten. They pulled a few back in the third quarter to trail 10-12 and were staring at a defeat when two down playing the last end but secured a three to secure a 14-13 victory and all ten points for the team overall with a fifteen shot victory. 
Well done ladies, onto Thursday next when they travel to Crickhowell.
