The club played host to the county O60 team on Tuesday, a good day for the club and special thanks are due to the many members who helped make this day a success. The green, the catering and the bar service all helped to make it a great day for the club.
Also a good start on the green for the new team manager who was thrilled with a narrow victory over a strong Mid Glamorgan team, congratulations Clive.
Our ladies travelled to Brynmawr Tuesday evening and recorded a 9-1 victory in the penyglyn evening league although the return fixture was cancelled on Thursday afternoon with our opponents unable to field a team.
Saturday was another great day at the club and we have a good indication of where we are as a team, with a 22 shot defeat at home to RTB, they have a lot of strength throughout the team and were well deserved victors. Hopefully a lot of our guys will have learnt about the small step up required to put us back in contention in the near future. Congratulations to RTB and good luck in your quest to retain the shield.
Better news for our GBL team who started with a 10-0 victory at Ynysddu.
